Glam Polish Songbird and Tempestarii

Hello everyone! Here I am sporadically posting again. The thing is I hardly have time these days and usually my cuticles are a hot mess from work (no, I don't know how to use photoshop) so I dont blog not to mention the sad fact that I am losing my mojo for photo taking with an actual camera, my iPhone is taking better pictures than me with a camera lately :-/

Anywho, enough whining! I have a couple of polishes that I am super excited to show off today. They are from Glam Polish  a brand that, in my opinion has really stepped up their game of late. Not that they have ever been bad but recently I have not been able to resist some of their polishes.

Glam Polish Songbird from the Festival collection is a magenta jelly with glitter and flakies. Songbird was slightly thicker than I would have liked but was still easily workable and perfect in two coats, I did use a couple of coats of topcoat to smooth it out which is pretty standard for glitter polishes.

Glam Polish Tempestarii this polish is right up my alley! Dark purple, micro holographic glitter and superb formula. Tempestarii was also perfect in two coats as it is highly pigmented. I did use two coats of topcoat because the micro glitters make it slightly textured and I wanted an ultra smooth finish.

Fundraising Auction End

Thankyou to all who sent bids through to help a family in need. The generous winner of all three polishes has been notified and her pretties will be in the post first thing Monday. Then I will pop into my local NAB branch and make a deposit for $200!!!!
Anyone who would like to make a personal donation can go into an NAB branch and quote BSB: 083 532 account number 397507917.

The lucky winner will also recieve a $50- voucher from Pretty Serious. I myself have been wearing one of their very popular shades today which has been featured on The Polish Haven before butttt I just had to snap a few pics of it's beauty again.

Pretty Serious The Pink One so pretty, so pink and oh so hard to capture. Just take my word for it, it's a must have.

Celestial Cosmetics Men Of Mayhem

Last weekend I was lucky enough to catch up with some fellow nail afficionados from South Australia. We had a lovely lunch and a chat about nail polish. Nicki from Celestial Cosmetics brought along a couple of bags of her products and let us all choose some polishes. So sweet!
The polish I chose is Men Of Mayhem, my friend Margie chose Blitzen's Budgie Smuggler, which I'm sure she will loan me after she has worn it because she is awesome like that :-p

Celestial Cosmetics Men Of Mayhem Men Of Mayhem is from the Sons Of Anarchy collection (side note: I love this show but have currently lost interest because I know they killed off Tara!) and is a dark raspberry linear holographic polish, it has a real warmness to it and suited my skin tone beautifully. Wear time was also great and the colour is not disappointing in the shade which I like.

Fundraiser Polish Auction

When Carli from Vintage Musings Of A Modern Pinup posted about her cousins wife Angie HERE it really broke my heart. I am way too far away to attend the event in Ballarat but wanted to give a decent donation anyway.

The beautiful family is all in purple and I thought I would  auction off three of my harder to find purple polishes and donate the proceeds to the Edwards family.

I would prefer to post within Australia for this. Just email me from the "contact" tab and tell me how much you would be willing to pay for the polish you are wanting. The highest price for each polish will win that polish and I will take offers until the 31st of January (inclusive) If you could put the polish name in the subject line that would be very helpful.

I will post on February 1st with the total amount that I will donate to this fundraiser.

The polishes are... OPI DS Original, Pretty Serious Naughty Night Shift Nurse and OPI Peel Me A Gobi Grape.

Smitten Polish What Sorcery Is This?

I very recently made my first order with Smitten Polish and I was not disappointed. The three I bought are all very beautiful but today I just have the one to show.

Smitten Polish What Sorcery Is This? a purple jelly holo, the first coat looks so sheer on this polish that you think it will never build up enough on it's own but it's pretty perfect after three coats. Thus far I have been impressed with the wear because we all know just how chippy holographic polishes can be.
Nice colour even in the shade (first picture)
